First Exhibit - Philz San Mateo
Today is a big day: today, my work went up for display in a public location for the first time. I think they call it an "exhibit." It's weird to say it. "My first exhibit." I've considered myself a photographer for a long time, but I haven't really put any effort into sharing my work outside of close friends and family. Last year, I decided I'd start getting my work out there. It started with Instagram and now we're here. Art on exhibit and a shiny new website.
The exhibit: I had four prints installed at the B Street Philz in San Mateo, my local stomping grounds. These four images, below, are also up for sale in various print sizes and media at my store as a limited run. The prices in Philz are going to be better than the prices in my store, so go check out the art in person if you're local!
The first two images (top row), "Dunerise I" and "The Valley", are 30x20" acrylic face-mounted prints. The second two (bottom row), "Here's to the Wild Places" and "Road to Tenaya", are 24x16"" aluminum prints. All of these were printed by my favorite printer, Bumblejax - a Seattle company. Their work is first class. The prints blew me away. "The Valley" looked so good, and was so well done, I practically cried when I saw it.
If you're local, my work will be on display for two months starting on November 6th and ending on January 8th. I will be at the Philz for two art shows - one on November 12th, 3-5 PM, and the other on December 10th. Stop by and say hello if you can!
Huge thanks to Gail at Art Liaisons for being wonderful to work with and motivating me to get my art on the walls at Philz.
